“I’m going to the Carriacou Animal Hospital in the Caribbean for 6 weeks to help with their neuter program and provide care to the pet animals on the island (as well as the odd beached turtle!).
Next I’m heading to the Esther Honey Foundation in the Cook Islands for 6 weeks where they rescue, neuter and care for all the islands four legged friends and where no healthy animal is ever euthanised.
Lastly it’s onwards to Care For Dogs in Chiang Mai, Thailand. There I’ll be helping to reduce overpopulation, treat animals in the rescue centre and helping to fight the dog meat trade.”
We all wish Louise a save journey and lots of good wishes for her forthcoming trips. Despite being in lovely occasions the type of welfare issues she will have to face will often be very upsetting and in some cases very harrowing. This is a wonderful use of Louise's time and veterinary skills and she knows she will have an impact on the animals she sees.
